South-Central Water Transmission Main

The $23 million South-Central Water Transmission Main will bring 10 million gallons per day of drinking water to homes and businesses in the Brandon area. Four miles of pipeline will be constructed, originating at the site of the planned Central Hillsborough Water Treatment Facility, west of Falkenburg Road and Columbus Drive, and ending at Parsons Avenue and Windhorst Road. Approximately three-quarters of the route will be pipeline that is 42 inches in diameter; the section along Windhorst will be 30 inches in diameter.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2007, with completion in spring 2008.
