Dear Colleague,

Please assist us with a community endeavor in which many of your peers have contributed greater than 2,200 hours in developing a long-term post-disaster redevelopment strategy. Your help with this effort is extremely valuable and will provide guidance into how to better address business needs in the redevelopment period following a major disaster.

In summary, Hillsborough County and cities within the county were selected as one of five communities throughout the State of Florida to develop a process to effectively meet demands of businesses and respective communities following the devastation from a Category 3 or Category 5 hurricane. There is a lot at stake and your input will greatly assist in developing a final process to recover from losses that may exceed the loss of greater than 25,000 businesses and effects to greater than 100,000 employees.

To address how best to meet the demands of the businesses community, work has been conducted through eight technical advisory committees established for this process in collaboration with several key county and city agencies. These groups have identified 56 priority issues in which to focus following a disaster. However, your input is imperative to ensure priorities are designed to effectively assist the business community in the aftermath of the disaster.

This survey is intended to obtain your input on how you anticipate continuing with your business following an impact from a major storm. Please take a few minutes to give us your opinion so that we can improve our community's strategy. Thank you for your input.
