Impact Fee Program
Staff Representative: Shawn Perrine

This program administers Hillsborough County's five (5) general government impact fees: transportation, right-of-way, park, school and fire. These fees are charged to new development, both residential and non-residential, to help pay for the structure's impact on the road, park, school and fire network. The County also has impact fee relief programs such as the No Fee Zone (limited duration) and the Affordable Housing Relief Program to encourage development in economically distressed areas. Economic development incentives are provided to qualified business creating quality jobs in Hillsborough County.

Offset Account Inquiry

Impact fee offset (sometimes referred to as credit) accounts are created to recognize the value of land or improvements that are dedicated to Hillsborough County. These dedications provide needed infrastructure that benefits Hillsborough County in a regional manner. The accounts are tracked in dollar increments and can be used to satisfy like impact fees (e.g. transportation and row offsets can be used to satisfy transportation and row impact fees).
