Planning and Growth Management is a full service community development department conducting planning, zoning, development review, permitting and inspections
services. The Department serves the public under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners and the County Administrator.
Basic services for planning and managing the County's growth are focused on planning for future additions of new residential subdivisions and commercial development,
meeting the provisions of the County's Land Development Code, planning for capital improvements, and ensuring development is built to life-safety and codes construction standards. |

Effective June 25, 2010 the Roof Decking Attachment and Secondary Water Barrier Affidavit is no longer required for a re-roof job. According to the Florida Statutes the affidavit was required until the Florida Building Code was updated. These requirements are now listed in the FBC updates effective March 1, 2010.
