Computers for Kids

"Computers for Kids" is a program that encourages donations of used computers to recreation centers for youngsters to use during after-school and summer programs. Commissioner Jim Norman started this program in 1996; computer labs are now available in every recreation center.

The program accepts working IBM compatible computer systems from individuals and corporations. The computers are donated to "Friends of the County Parks", a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization supports the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.

Call the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department at (813) 635-3532 for more information.
