In 1986, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
created the Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation Board. The
Parks and Recreation Board is
comprised of seven members appointed by individual Commissioners
and who serve at the pleasure of their appointing Commissioner
for a 2-year term.
The Parks and Recreation Board works with the
Parks, Recreation and
Conservation Department, the County Administrator and the Board of County
Commissioners to offer direction in the creation and operation of a wide range of
recreational facilities and programs to meet the needs of County residents.
Parks and Recreation Board meetings are held
every month. For more
information, please call the administrative office at (813) 975-2160. |
