- Assist County departments and agencies in developing, implementing and
monitoring annual budgets;
- Assist the County Administrator
in the development of the annual budget for the Board of
County Commissioners by preparing
materials that comply
with legal reporting and timing requirements for the State-mandated "Truth-in-Millage
(TRIM) process and for review by the Florida Department of
Revenue;
- Submit the approved budget document for review under
the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished
Budget Presentation Award program;
- Develop and administer
contracts for County-funded cultural, social and public
services;
- Monitor compliance of cable television franchises
in the unincorporated county with Federal Communication
Commission and cable industry
standards;
and,
- Coordinate the County's Neighborhood Special
District Program including establishing
districts and monitoring the preparation and administration
of their budgets.
