- Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay provides
an anonymous, toll-free tipline to encourage citizens to help fight
crime. Callers are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000
for information that results in the arrest of a fugitive or in certain
cases when the tip solves an unsolved crime. Tips are accepted by phone
at 1-800-873-tips and by email. Tips can also be sent via text message from a cell phone to CRIMES (274637). The key word TIP155 must appear on the first line of the text message.
- Crime Watch provides information on Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch and Apartment
Watch as well as prevention tips.
- Florida Secure provides
information on cyber security, email practices, notices of software
patches, etc. to safeguard information systems and reduce our vulnerability
to cyber threats. Also, through Florida Secure you can sign up to attend
free classes on cyber security for kids or parents, and also provides
information on email threats, spam and computer fraud.
