Fleet Management is an internal department that provides vehicle and equipment-related services to Hillsborough County departments. These services include fleet acquisition and disposal, preventative maintenance, repairs, wrecker service, motor pool, equipment rental and fuel sales. Fleet Management has 66 employees with four garages spread throughout the county to best serve its customers. The County's fleet consists of 3,800 pieces, ranging from trailer mounted equipment to heavy construction equipment and fire apparatus. The fleet is worth approximately $85 million. Fleet serves the residents of the County by partnering with 23 departments and agencies that provide direct and indirect services in all areas of County government.
