After School Care Registration is Now Open

The program offers both traditional and adaptive camps

As the lazy days of summer quickly pass, and thoughts turn to back-to-school, do you have a plan for your child’s after-school care?

Registration for the Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation After School Program is now open. Keeping school-aged children safe, supervised, and entertained when the school day ends is a no-brainer with this economical program.

Register for After School

The program offers sports, play, and active recreation for children in grades K-8. Kids of all ages and abilities can engage in basketball, football, or soccer after a day in the classroom. Timeless games like red light, green light; tag, jump rope, dodgeball, and foosball, along with computer games, will keep kids’ minds and bodies active. Some locations offer street hockey and cheerleading. Games, crafts, and adaptive recreation are offered for children with disabilities.

Children enrolled in the After School Program will also learn the value of healthy eating, an active lifestyle, and the importance of recycling.

You’ll get an A+ when you enroll your child in the After School Program, and your child will have a safe, supervised place to stay on days when school is out, but you still have to go to work.
