Want to save a few dollars? Take advantage of services and facilities provided by Hillsborough County.

  1. Getting in shape is a great idea. For $10 a month, you can use any of the exercise equipment at six County community and recreation centers with fitness facilities. To sign, up you'll need a Parks & Recreation account.

  2. A library card is your pass to a variety of experiences and activities. They're free for Hillsborough County residents. Visit the library website to learn more.

  3. Vacations are expensive. Don't break the bank. You and your family can plan exciting, illuminating excursions right here in your home county. Here are some ideas.

  4. Taking your four-legged best friend to a Hillsborough County dog park is good exercise for your pet and for you. It's also fun to catch up with like-minded pet owners. There's no cost to enter a dog park. Just make sure your dog gets along with other dogs, and pick up after your pet.

  5. Your Hillsborough County conservation parks provide myriad resources, activities, and programs. For little or no cost, you can explore the outdoors at your own pace. If you plan to go regularly to any of the parks with admission fees, consider buying an Annual Conservation Parks Pass.

  6. Receive expert career advice for free. The Entrepreneur Collaborative Center  in Ybor City can help you launch a new undertaking or thrive in your current career. The Center provides access to business service providers, resources, mentorship opportunities, and specialty training.

  8. Worried your kids might tumble into a swimming pool and not know how to get out? The Children's Board of Hillsborough County provides free water safety and swimming classes for children ages 3 - 14. Certified YMCA instructors will come to a pool near you.

  9. Hillsborough County residents at or near the federal poverty level may apply for a Health Care Plan that provides a wide range of medical services.

  10. Thinking of acquiring a family pet? Adopt a dog or cat for minimal cost at the Pet Resource Center.
