The Board Celebrates Strawberries, Art Program, and Retiring
Strawberry Festival, economic development pioneer, and program for at-risk students are recognized by County Commissioners
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners presented a commendation and two proclamations during its board meeting on February 15. The commendation honored Chloe Coney, who is retiring as district director for the U.S. Representative Office, Fourteenth District of Florida. The two proclamations recognized February as Prodigy Cultural Arts Month and March 2 through March 12 as Florida Strawberry Festival Days.
The recipients of the recognitions include:
- Florida Strawberry Festival General Manager Paul Davis and Festival Queen Drew Knotts - - Festival Manager Paul Davis and Festival Queen Drew Knotts accepted the BOCC proclamation for Florida Strawberry Festival Days. Also joining them were Festival First Maid Marlee Arn, and Court Members Caroline Brummer, Courtney Coton, and Ariel Navarrete.
- Davida A. Bowen - Accepting the proclamation for Prodigy Cultural Arts Month was Davida A. Bowen, development specialist for the Prodigy Cultural Arts Program.
- Chloe Coney - The Board of County Commissioners presented Chloe Coney for her 40 years of service in community improvement through affordable housing, and civic engagement and revitalization.
