The Diversity Advisory Council aims to ensure the needs and viewpoints of the County's diverse residents are communicated to government officials, organizations, and the community. The panel has 22 members, each of whom serves a two-year term. The council focuses on people of various races, ethnicities, and social characteristics. As part of its mission, the Council works with community groups to celebrate diversity and host community events such as the Diversity Challenge Summit in October and the inaugural Interact Hillsborough Festival in April.
