Open House Meeting: East Lake Drainage Improvements

Hillsborough County, Fla. (June 6, 2017) - Hillsborough County residents can learn about a project to alleviate flooding on Travis Boulevard and Walton Way in the East Lake Park community during a public information meeting on Monday, June 12. Hosted by Hillsborough County Public Works, the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the East Lake Community Center, 7217 Kingsbury Circle in Tampa.

The meeting will have an open-house format, with project displays available for viewing. Attendees can review, ask questions, and comment on the $633,000 Stormwater Fee Capital Improvement project, which is scheduled to begin construction in spring 2018.

The project will upgrade and add stormwater inlets along southbound Harney Road and at the intersection of Travis Boulevard and Walton Way. The stormwater system will be connected to the existing outfall pipe to East Lake.
