Pet Adoption Fees Half Off through Sunday
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2018) - The Pet Resource Center is near capacity and is dropping adoption fees by half for all dogs and cats through Sunday, Jan. 7.
As of Friday, the Pet Resource Center was at about 95 percent capacity, with hundreds of dogs and cats available for adoption. The center is asking for the community's help in finding as many shelter pets loving, forever homes this weekend.
The fees for ready-to-go dogs and cats will be dropped to $10 through Sunday, a cost that includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and registration. Pre-adoption costs, which normally can run over $100, also will be cut in half through the weekend.
The Pet Resource Center is the only open-admission facility in Hillsborough County, meaning it accepts dogs and cats regardless of breed, size, age, or medical condition.
Residents can search online at HCFLGov.net/Adopt to view hundreds of adoptable pets and then visit PRC at 440 N. Falkenburg Road to adopt. Adoptions must be done in person at the center. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Pet foster parents are always needed and help make available valuable kennel space, as well as giving special care and attention to particularly vulnerable animals.
