Seeking Nominations for Neighborhood Recognition Awards
Hillsborough County, Fla. (June 8, 2017) - Think you have one of the best neighborhood associations in the area? Did your homeowners group accomplish a project in 2016 that was a home run? Do you know an individual who has gone above and beyond to make a difference where they live? Brag about it by submitting a nomination in Hillsborough County's annual Neighborhood Recognition Awards program.
The 2017 countywide awards program has been completely revamped to reflect the changing ways residents are contributing to their communities. This year's nomination forms may also be submitted online. The all-new categories are designed to recognize individuals, groups, and organizations that have enriched the quality of life in neighborhoods through outreach, improvement projects, volunteer work, safety programs, art, partnerships, and board leadership.
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Friday, June 23.
Neighborhood groups may nominate themselves, other groups, and/or individuals for their efforts to improve the quality of life in unincorporated Hillsborough County, or the cities of Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace. Each nomination should include supporting information, such as samples of promotional material, website links, photographs, news clippings, and letters of support.
The winners will be announced at the 14th Annual Hillsborough County Neighborhoods Conference on July 15 at the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel, 10221 Princess Palm Ave. in Tampa. Winners must be present to accept the awards.
