Cinco de Mayo Events Highlight Activities at Senior Centers

Elderly Affairs Day, May 11 - Older Americans Month: Age Out Loud
To celebrate National Older Americans Month, Aging Services partners with Tampa Housing Authority to host Elderly Affairs Day on May 11. The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and Tampa Housing Authority will recognize outstanding seniors in the community who give of themselves for the enrichment of others. The event is invitation-only but includes members of Aging Services Senior and Dining Centers. National Senior Health and Fitness Day 2017 - With Movement … There's improvement
National Senior Health and Fitness Day is the largest national health event for older adults. On Wednesday, May 31 over 100,000 older adults will celebrate the 24th National Senior Health and Fitness Day. See specific centers for activity details.

Volunteer Opportunities
Looking to volunteer? Aging Services Nutrition sites located throughout Hillsborough County are seeking food service assistant volunteers to assist in serving hot, nutritious midday meals to citizens 60 and older. Volunteer benefits include flexible schedule, engagement with seniors in a fun, social environment, and the opportunity to impact the community in a positive way.
