Curiosity Creek Watershed Management Master Plan
The purpose of the project is to develop master plan updates and drainage projects for the Curiosity Creek watershed in northwest Hillsborough County. The 3.6 square mile portion of the watershed located within unincorporated Hillsborough County is generally bordered by Lake Magdalene Boulevard on the north; Lake Magdalene, Lake Carroll, and Lake Platt on the west; Interstate 275 and Nebraska Avenue on the east; and Country Club Drive on the south. The remaining portion of the watershed is located within the City of Tampa.
This work is part of the Countywide Watershed Master Plan Updates. This master plan update provides the County with valuable information on flooding within the watershed, including an updated hydrology and hydraulics model that is used by the County, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and local developers as the best available information for project analysis and permitting. The project also identifies flood-prone areas and develops conceptual projects and cost estimates that would help to solve these flooding issues.
Project Cost & Funding:
The project cost is $150,000. This project is being funded through the Stormwater Fee Capital Improvement Program.
