Veterans Resource Center

Description

The project will include the construction of approximately 8,000 s.f. for phase one of a Veterans Resource Center, and museum facility with associated site improvements.

Project (Phase One) will include an 8,000 sf Veterans Resource Center to house offices, multi-purpose room, and related spaces. Future planning will include a phased addition of up to 14,000-16,000 sf for a Museum, for a total facility of 22,000-24,000 sf.

What to Expect

  • Construction is anticipated to take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • The work will involve heavy equipment and excavation, and will generate normal construction noise
  • Access to Park will be maintained throughout construction
  • In some areas, closures may be necessary
  • For the safety of the workers, pedestrians and other motorists, please observe all traffic control measures
  • All areas affected by the construction will be restored

Cost & Funding

  • $300,000 CIP – Planning, Design and Engineering 
  • $1,500,000 Grant funding - Construction (Phase One), funded by the State of Florida, Department of Economic Opportunity
