Carrollwood Village Park


The purpose of this project is to acquire part of the former Dale Mabry Wastewater Treatment Plant site and develop the surplus land into a passive community park. This project will be produced in phases and will involve project development, design, and construction. Proposed park infrastructure for Phase I includes site work, landscaping, potable and reclaimed water, electric/power, roadways, paving, building renovation, construction of new park amenities, and various site improvements.Planned amenities include a walking/jogging trail, playground, dog park, open green space, large gazebo, picnic shelters, and other various park features as the budget allows

Cost and funding

  • Total Project funding is $6.5 million
  • $400,000 of the project funding is from NW Impact Fees
  • $6.1 million of the project funding is from financing


  • Master Plan/Design: Estimated completion: Summer 2017
  • Survey, Appraisal, and PD&E: Estimated completion: Fall 2017
  • Design Build Procurement Phase I: Estimated completion: Winter 2017
  • Construction Phase 1: In construction & Estimated completion: Late Fall 2018
  • Construction Phase II:TBD
