| Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners invites applications from private, for-profit, entities to
participate in the TARP Pilot Program. It encourages reinvestment towards existing commercial buildings within the Hillsborough
County Community Development Block Grant target area communities.
Selected applicants can qualify for financial grants to reimburse approved redeveloped expenses directly incurred to reconstruct
vacant, derelict or sub-standard commercial buildings within the designated CDBG target areas. Eligibility for funding
is contingent on the proposed project's construction achieving full compliance to the following:
- Current zoning
- Site plan & building codes
- Maintain principal ownership for 48 months
- Indemnify the county for the grant amount and meet specific U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development requirements in addressing blight or low- and moderate- income jobs.
TARP offers reimbursement of $10 per square foot for qualified redeveloped commercial use space, up to a maximum of $200,000
during the program's 2005 fiscal year. Applicants selected by an evaluation committee's competitive process will be
invited to become program participants.

business hours.
Hillsborough County reserves the right to reject any application submitted after the deadline. Private, for-profit entities
will be afforded a full opportunity to participate in these matters and will not be subject to discrimination on the bases
of race, sex, color or national origin.
