Snake Bite

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. - November 2, 2009 1:52 PM Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a reported victim of a double snake bite. At 1:45 today, a victim at the Masters Inn on the corner of Hwy 92 and 579 reported being bitten by two separate snakes at the same time near the dumpster outside the hotel. The victim was treated and transported to University Community Hospital Fletcher where the victim reportedly was waiting for anti venom from Miami. Although crews searched for the snakes to identify the exact type, no snakes were found. The bites appeared to be from a coral snake and a possible pigmy rattle snake.
