Send in a completed pre-application with a $25 Non-Refundable License Pre-Application Fee in the form of a
check or money order made payable to: BOCC (Board of County Commissioners). The pre-application is
available on this website, click on the link below. It can be printed out and mailed in to the
Child Care Licensing Office. For more information, please call (813) 272-6487.
Family Child Care Home Licensure

- After we receive your application and fee, you will be contacted by mail and registered for the next available consultation class. At this class, you will receive all the information you need to get a family child care home license. Classes are held on the second and fourth Tuesday 8:30-12:30. Spanish consultations are available upon request.

Once you complete all the requirements, contact the Senior Family Child Care Home Licensing
Inspector at (813) 903-3404 for a home inspection.

If you pass your home inspection, you will receive your license in seven (7) to ten (10) working
days.
