This website is a guide to the advisory groups which play an essential role in our local government. Whether created by the Board of County Commissioners or by Florida
Statutes, each group has been established to secure the participation of Hillsborough County's residents to promote good government and the effective and efficient delivery of
services.
The Board of County Commissioners encourages residents to participate in County government, so the policy decisions Commissioners make can be based upon all available information
and are representative of the needs of our population. This is an opportunity for residents to get involved in an advisory capacity.
Any resident of Hillsborough County who would like to be considered for appointment to one of the boards, councils or committees listed on the website should click on the application
form at the bottom of this page. This form can be filled out online and printed out to submit. For more information about these advisory boards and councils and position openings,
please contact the Boards and Councils Coordinator at: (813) 272-5826.
