Aging Services' RSVP Volunteers of Hillsborough County were proud to participate in the first official September 11 - National Day of Service and Remembrance. In partnership with the Temple Terrace Lightfoot Recreation Center seniors and the Hillsborough County Department of Aging Services' Nutrition Section, RSVP Volunteers accepted donations of cookies, cakes, brownies, breads, and more for the Temple Terrace Fire Department.

The Temple Terrace Fire Department was very appreciative and pleased to receive the delightful treats on behalf of all those in Hillsborough County who protect and defend our lives and our property every day. Upon receiving the gifts, Fire Chief Keith Chapman stated, "On behalf of the entire fire department we were pleased and excited to accept this recognition on September 11. The personal touch with the baked goods was outstanding. We hope to continue to make your group and all citizens proud by delivering outstanding service to the community. Again, we appreciate it and look forward to working with you in the future."
