The Hillsborough County Administrator is an appointed official who serves as Chief Executive Officer of the County and is responsible for carrying out all decisions, policies, ordinances and motions made by the Board of County Commissioners.

The Administrator's duties include overseeing all county administrative departments, preparing an annual operating budget, and delivering a State of the County report to the County Commissioners each January.

The County Administrator's span of responsibility includes a wide variety of county services, from Aging Services to Zoning, and involves an organizational structure of more than 5,200 employees.
