Eric R. Johnson, a native of New York State, was appointed director in 1993. He is active in the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), having served as Chair of GFOA’s Committee on Governmental Budgeting and Management and on GFOA’s Executive Board. Eric is a national trainer on budgeting and has published articles on government finance. He has served on both state and national task forces on taxation.
Prior to joining local government in 1985, Eric was employed as an economist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Eric has a degree in economics from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of South Florida (USF). He has served as an adjunct professor in the USF MPA program. |
